HAVE TO because of the cheap hp gain. Some plain old split DPs can be had for around $100, and it would be a waste to put the 500s on those pre-cats. So, it's always money that rules. For $1300, new 500s is a good price, and you will notice the hp gain for sure. But if are normal, you will soon wish you had gone with the 5-bolt, 530s. I think the cost of used 4-bolt DPs is about the same as 5-bolt, so no difference in cost there. Another thought: one pundit here has said that breather mods are more important than larger turbos, so, you could take advantage of your good buy on the 500s, then spend the money on breather mods rather than going to 530s. Remember, you'll need larger injectors for any turbo upgrade.
